WHAT WE DO
The MIXTO Foundation is a non-profit organization whose main purpose is to transform and strengthen Latino communities through music and the arts.
It is our vision to empower Hispanic children and families through the creation and funding of music and art programs and initiatives. It is proven that having access to music and arts is essential for overall aspects of mental, emotional and physical health. Connection to one’s own mental, emotional and physical well-being as well as to family, cultural roots and mainstream society is critical to sparking curiosity and creativity which in turn boosts confidence, increases social integration, tolerance and opens individuals to new ideas that allows them to live to their fullest potential and make positive contributions to their community. The arts unite people and are the ultimate tools to facilitate, transform and strengthen communities.
